Laptop Demand Growing
Move over Desktop PC, it’s the age of the portable computer, or at least that what the high demand suggests. Taiwan, which is the main manufacturing country of laptops is having trouble with the demand at present. In fact if anything has hindered demand or sales of notebooks then its been limited supplies of components. I think what makes it difficult is that the thing changes all the time.
Gaming notebooks are one of the variations that have seen an increase. Adequate gaming notebooks can be brought pretty cheap for medium gaming needs. I play games on my laptop on a regular basis and must say I’m surprised how playable few of the demanding games are. Past problems with giant, over heating notebooks for gaming are fading away and new sleeker, slicker models are being launched. Regardless of the fact that speed has greatly increased and the designs are attractive, honestly speed will and should forever trail behind desktop PC’s. The metamorphosis of gaming notebooks signifies that they will become sleeker and lighter in the near future.
Custom laptops will always be around because the mass configurations don’t offer the spec the specialist niche markets need. The benefit with a few custom notebooks is that you get improved 3rd party components put in them. The beneficial thing is that you don’t end up coughing up for unessential additions you don’t need. Prebuilt laptops are made for average activies and not upto doing more intensive tasks. For the specialist consumers, custom notebooks fill the hole. There is a wide net of choices for custom built notebooks with OEM’s all giving a great personal service. To me this is a massive positive.
Cool is a thought that comes to mind when thinking of the upcoming line of notebook computers. Except from what has already been mentioned UMPC’s are also massive product witnessing an increase this year. This area is already getting tough competition and is becoming overloaded. I really feel that we’re going to see ultra light 15 inch notebooks very quickly as well. If you use slightly less slower components then I guess this is really doable already. I can predict its not too long before we start experiencing gaming notebooks that weigh nothing. There’s no guessing what portables we will see but more than likely there will be plenty.
