Online poker grinders are famous for their ability to multitable. Through some apparently superhuman ability they can watch multiple online poker tables at once, while still managing to make money. This is kind of the traditional image of the grinder. However, not every grinder out there tries to make their fortune by multitabling. Some grinders out there like to focus on one high stakes game at a time. The question that you are probably asking, is why some poker players multitable while others simplify their game? The answer to this question is that grinders multitable when they are trying to build their bankroll. Multitablers are typically lower stakes players than their single minded counterparts. They may also be trying to build their bankroll so that one day they won’t need to multitable. One thing to remember is that you will most likely not see people multitabling when there is more money on the table. At that point it is just not worth the risk to be distracted from the game for even a moment. Grinders who are truly “grinding” the day away need to multitask to make ends meet. Professional poker online players with a little more leeway do not need to grind so aggressively.
