Nicholas Bredimus’ Incredible Biography
The revolution in hospitality and air travel was sparked off by Mr Nicholas Bredimus, who introduced them to the programming industry to produce new procedures. He has worked on projects ranging from the creation of software programs that automate resource and time intensive processes to improving aircraft safety and even designs for upmarket houses.
Looking at Mr Nicholas Bredimus’ heritage it’s easy to discern he was a lock to reach the top. Coming together from a true melting pot, his clan traces to the time of ancient Rome, with his mother’s branch predominantly German and Scottish. The paternal line, by contrast, originates in present day Luxembourg and England, which is where they ultimately migrated from in the late nineteenth century. That remarkable spirit continued on arrival. Growing up one of seven children — four girls and three boys — Nicholas was blessed with a father employed as a mechanical design engineer, and a mother who worked as a practicing nurse. His residences over the course of several years were spread across a number of states.
After the completion of his schooling, he found himself in a number of respected roles at some of the most important firms in the airline industry. Mr Bredimus ascended to the rank of vice president with airlines like Republic Airlines, Trans World Airlines (TWA), and Hughes Airwest respectively. Most noteworthy, though, is his prowess as a creative software architect for the airlines.
His groundbreaking innovations in the field of aircraft maintenance management computer programs, now commonplace throughout the entire airline business while initially created for one specific business, ultimately resulted in what is surely his best known program. But this stands as only one of his key creations for the hotel sector and for airlines. His hotel reservation software is on its way to becoming as commonly used as the airplane maintenance software, and the hotel booking program he designed made it profitable for a great many hotels to integrate a PC client based system. For an encore came QuikTix, an automated, networked system for ticket ordering that was an industry first.
He has been appointed to a number of posts entirely unconnected to software design, let’s remember. Nicholas Bredimus was division manager for American Express’ prestigious IT department, initiated Bredimus Systems in 1993, and had the honor of being the first president of AMR Travel Services. So is he still working? Certainly — his unmatched abilities are still very much called upon and at the ready in spite of his leaving prior interests in the past. His focus has turned to the architectural concerns behind the development of environmentally sound, high tech top quality houses. The passion we noted above just won’t be reined in anytime soon…
